2-8-8-4 in Duluth

Ok the time has come and gone. Just got back from my bike ride of five with two friends and two shipmates from the navy.  We made it to Superior, WI. The guys stayed at a bar there, "Anchor Bar and Grill" while i went over the bridge to Duluth. We got there late due to the rain which we ride in anyway.  I didn't make it in the museum. The roads were fouled with construction and traffic plus the rain seem to make it all slower. Very disappointed but I'll be back during another ride one day.

So now my next question. In Aug i'm going to my daughters via bike again from Delaware to Denver. Planning on a three day ride. Stopping at Dayton for the air museum. Then on to St Louis for the Transportation Museum which i will get to see 2156 since she is going back now.
    After that I'm not familiar with what's west as in RR museums between St Louis and Denver. Any ideas along the way ?

I don't think there is much in the way of attractions between St Louis and Denver, except Kansas City, railroad or otherwise.  Once you're past KC, it was basically empty plains the last time I was through there - 40+ years ago.  I doubt that it has changed much.

So pretty much through KS I'll put the bike on auto pilot and go to sleep.  Way home I'm dropping in on North Platte to spend a little time with 3977. Was there two years ago but she's so beautiful i have to see her again.   Then to an air museum in Lincoln. I see they have one of three remaining B-36 bombers.   Hope next year UP runs big boy again.

Limon, CO has a small museum in the Rock Island depot. Worth a break since I-70 goes right through it.
In Denver (Golden) the obvious must-see is the Colorado Railroad Museum. The Forney Museum is also worthwhile.
Not sure what museum you’re referring to in Lincoln, but the SAC museum in Omaha is another must-see.
