Loksound 5 Micro DCC decoder

Help, please!

I have been tweaking, programming, a new decoder. It has been working OK and I just about had settings as I wanted.

Now when I try to do anything I get a message that says selected decoder is not supported.
What did I do and can I correct it ?

If you're like me, you probably have both LokProgrammer 4 and LokProgrammer 5 loaded on your PC or laptop now. Are you sure you're opening the correct one?

Thanks for response. Yes, I am using LP 5.014 and the sound file is S0556. The firmware version is 5.3.122 and is dated 6/8/2020. The Lokprogrammer shows that firmware as being supported.

Have no clue as I have attempted to reset decoder, reload the sound file, write changes to the file and all I get is the "selected decoder not supported". I am ready to give up on ESU sound. Too complex for a hick like me. I just want to run my trains not tinker all the time.

Carl, I’ve had this some occasional times and it was because of poor connection.
How do you have the decoder connected to the programmer?
Is it in the loco and you’re using a programming track?
If so be sure you have good connection to the track with the loco.

Thanks for the reply Steve.

Actually when I 1st started programming the decoder it was attached to my ESU decoder tester. It went well so I installed into my project and was able to adjust, tweak sounds and performance characteristics. I was not seeing the results that I wanted so I downloaded LP Version 5.0.13 and that started my "not supported" problem. Finally today I checked and the firmware # 5.3.122 is not supported on that version of the LP but is on LP version 5.0.14.
So I deleted the 5.013 and made sure the decoder was being programmed in the LP 5.014 and hooray it is working as it should.

Just a case of my stupidity that caused the problem. I just tested it and the sounds work, motor runs and any tweaks I make upload to decoder as they should.

BTW, it is on program track and contact is good.

Appreciate  the issue/fix summary Carl, I will no doubt find this experience helpful at some point too.
