In a previous post I indicated that I was having problems getting an Atlas (China) RS3 (DC) to run.  I eventually got one of my three locos to run, but never did get the other two to go.  Now none of them runs, but the motors do run when tested outside of the locos.

I am looking to ship all three of the RS3's to someone to get them running properly again.  Although I have three of them, I really need only two of them to run well, but if you can fix them, I'd pay you $20 per loco to get them running well again.  If parts are needed, I'd reimburse you for those -- and for the return postage.

Let me know if you are one of the talented Forum modelers who has time on their hands and who could use a small amount of money and a challenge.

all three engines are running good. I had them pulling 10 40' box cars on my test loop for 20min. each. you are looking at 10.00 ea. for the repair and the cost to ship back to you.ED

Curious what did you find wrong with them?

the ring saddles in the engines where in the wrong place. they where crushed and putting a bind the drive train. the rings are hard plastic. I think its a bad design. the kato ring saddles for the rs3 and rs11 where rubbery not hard. so I just removed the bad saddles and put a small shim at the top of the motor to keep it in place.
