BLI PRR M1b. 'Wowie!"

:)    I finally had a chance to fully operate/run my BLI PRR M1b which I received when they first came out after a several year wait from first Precision Craft then BLI. My home layout is DC so I only had a chance to test run this locomotive roundy round with limited sound. I brought the locomotive to what will probably be the last large model railroad show in Utah for awhile the "Hostlers" model railroad show in Ogden in early March to operate on the Wasatch N Scale layout which is both NCE DCC and CVP wireless DC http://www.wasatchnscale.org  . I also brought a train of Pennsylvania coal hoppers and a appropriate caboose. Wowie! The sounds the way the model comes from the factory are just loud enough to heard in a noisy venue, yet not too loud to be obnoxious. In a quieter home setting I would probably turn sound down some. Great whistle, nice bell, other nice sounds like when parked, stoker noise etc. I did not have a chance to set the locomotive to the cab number so I operated it on Default 3.Smooth running with nice pulling power. I' am already familiar with current BLI steam locomotives as I have operated my 2-8-2s' at a show in January and operated one part of the time at this show. Cudos BLI for a superb product. I love those M1s. Have six now. My intent was only to have two to doublehead but as time went on, why not buy another, then another and another.   It falls under "how many do you need ?" Answer, not as many as I want.  The T1s are awesome too, X3.
