I know those JB Hunts are foobies, but they have to be as close as anything thus far to represent the ubiquitous JBH containers from the mid 90's on, no? ( @James Costello maybe you can clarify? I've been out of the loop with N and seemingly forgotten most of what I once knew about Intermodal.) The good news about being in Z is I can do platewall 48/53's out of cardstock/heavy paper and they really don't look too bad.
Hi Doug
@Rivet Miscounter - yes, until someone makes a plate-wall container (Monon, Pines, Wabash National), these are going to be as close as we're probably going to get with a stand-in for those 90s era fleets, especially with the smooth nose. In the spirit of JRT, I can see myself making use of these too.
FVM has also tooled and shown a Stoughton X-Post, but it's a bit tricky to tell (from the photos I've seen) if it's the same version, or the later style with an X-Post nose and 1 less side post.
I still have hope we will see a Hunt specific plate-wall container in N soon. It would go very well with FVM's planned later-era Hunt specific Duraplate container and is very much needed for those ATSF / BNSF / Conrail 90s hotshots.
