MTL 99305510 QUAX Flats

Does anyone have, or seen, the Micro-Trains QUAX salvage flat cars. They make a 2-pack of empties and also offer them as singles with a damaged freight car load. I'm thinking of getting the 2-pack to add my own loads. I'm wondering if a truck-less freight car will press-fit into the (assumed adjustable) bolster pins on the car deck and be sturdy enough to run without the use of glue. Has anyone tried these and can confirm?

In the pics, it looks like one car has pins to mount a load, and the other doesn't  :?. How would a load (freight car) mount on the one without bolster pins.

Thanks,

Mike

They press fit. I had to remove the gates for clearance on the hopper. I dont think that will be an issue with boxcars.

Is that a Micro-Trains weathering job, or custom???

Just noticed the Shadow GTW logo on the car.
It turns out you can get black confetti in the shape of d'cks...
