Now that I think about it, forget my previous suggestion about an RSD frame, because it will be too short.

Forget my suggestion to forget my suggestion- an RSD is 56'.  I need to get all my trains into one room so I can just pull a model of each and compare.

No doubt.  I was just looking for starting points.

I label most of my own kitbashes as "representations" because the rivets/louvers/etc never end up in the right places.

My own similar goal is to produce a H12-44-TS - which is the variant produced for Santa Fe's use at Dearborn station.  At first glance, it looks like a later model H16 with a smaller radiator grill.  But on closer inspection, it has walkway and louver variations, and for some reason (I am guessing to cram in whatever steam generator ATSF required) is just a bit longer, even though it has a smaller primer mover.

The ALCo C-C tricks had uneven axle spacing.  The A-1-A had even.  The photograph seems to show evenly spaced axles.
