In the N universe of only either small downtown buildings/stores or huge downtown skyscrapers, it was great that Lunde Studios came out with a moderate-sized office building typical of a mid-sized town business district. I bought the kit and did some modifications to fit in the scene (cutting down the height some, rearranging windows on the side and back wall, mainly). However I saw that if built as instructed, the front windows do not align with the side windows. You can even see this in the online picture of it.There is an extra piece of façade between the fourth and fifth floors that causes the problem. Since I was already sawing up the walls it wasn't much more effort to cut out the excess façade. I wrote to Lunde Studios about this glitch but never received an answer.
I didn't get around to assembly of my modified walls until now, and noticed another flaw: the beveled edges on parts of the wall corners aren't trimmed far enough. The ideal situation is to have the beveled edge of a wall with a 45 degree bevel that comes to a point right at the edge of the wall. The result when glued together is only a thin joint right at the corner of the building as the brick facings butt up against each other.
There were places on the beveled edges that did not come to a sharp edge, and in some places the angle of the bevel wasn't 45 degrees. This would leave a wide gap right at the corner of the building.
I took a dremel cutting bit to remedy this -- again it wasn't much extra work since my cutting and rearranging the window sections meant I had to do some beveling of my own.
This is a beautiful building and certainly of a size needed in N scale, but if you're going to buy one you'll have to do some modifications to make a realistic model.
