You might want to take a look at this recent thread on the Trading Post- modeler found parts for his LL E8 at...believe it or not....Walthers.

The thread has the "process" he went through to get them.  Obviously I can't say whether they will have what you are looking for, but might be worth a shot. (And when he found the parts, they were under Walthers brand numbers- ie- 922- , not Life Like)  If you still have the parts diagram that came with your loco, the part number is likely
922-part number on diagram.

Of course, this could just be a wild goose chase, but see the thread.

I believe the split-frame PA used the same truck as the Erie Built and DL-109.

I don't have a PA parts sheet, but both the Erie Built and DL109 use the same part number 571195. If someone who has the PA list could check to see if it is the same that would be a great help...Jim

I seen that site already. I doesn't list the split frame PA under Lifelike or Walthers. It is were I got the numbers for the DL109 and Ere Built trucks.

The split-frame PA/PB, DL109 and Erie-Built all use the same truck frame, which is the same as the front truck frame on the Life-Like plastic-frame PA. The entire truck assembly is the same between Life-Like and Walthers, with the exception that Walthers changed the wheel design so that they would run on Code 55 and have contour on the wheel face (as opposed to large flanges and a flat wheel face on the Life Like versions). The gear arrangement is the same on the Life-Like and Walthers versions.

For giggles I checked the instruction manual of my plastic-frame PA and the truck assembly indeed has a different part number than the E-B and DL-109.

Funny enough, now I need a E-B/DL-109/split-frame PA truck for parts! I discovered a missing gear and axle in one of my Erie Builts, so it's essentially an A1A-A2 locomotive! It's a project engine so its not urgent, but the timing of the discovery is amusing.

The way the trucks are mounted to the main frame are different on the plastic frame vs split frame.

My mistake, the truck frame is consistent across all variations.  Regarding the truck gear tower, it's the same for all the Life-Like split frame models that use that prototype truck.

Keep in mind that the EMD sideframe is different, even if gears are the same.
