It was kinda funny.  Yesterday, I received email from 2 different hobby shops that the P70s were "now open" for pre-order through their shops.  2 hours later, I got one from BLI that it was the last day to pre-order and pre-orders needed to be in by close of business.

While I assume that the pre-order period was more than 8 hours long, it seems like for those of us who are not SPFs, the retailers were not right on top of getting the word out.
