ESM announces 70T ASF RB trucks and wheels

Just got an email from ESM. They have to tool their own trucks now that Affa is out of the picture. These will be available separately. I'm guessing they will be similar to BLMA and Exactrail trucks of the same type. Also available will be .54" axle 33" wheels. These would also swap in with MTL trucks. They will be available in 12 packs (wheels).

This has pushed back the next wave of X58, X65 and X72. Frustrating but understandable. I may have to pick up one of last year's holiday X65 and repaint to Conrail.

Bryan, how about 100 packs of those wheels? Also,I could really use .553" and .563" axles for my Accumate equipped trucks from Atlas. I have hundreds I need to replace.

Wouldn't Bryan want to do the S2A trucks?

He's been using them under several projects, and they've never been available separately...

We will see how these two products perform first before expanding the line. But if the demand is there, we will expand it. Yes, they will be comparable to the BLMA version of the truck frame and wheels.

The Barber S2a is used for only the GSC well car. The ASF A-3 is utilized for the XIH. The three X-Series 50’ boxcars ride on the ASF Ride Control truck, so it’s the most critical (for us) of the three. The A-3 would be next when the line is expanded, as it would be needed for the next eventual XIH release.
