I figured you had one of each NH, Bryan.

John — I have two NH As-Builts.  Now I have a third on the way.  Almost pulled the trigger instead on a EDER5A without pantograph but it's too far removed from my era.  One of the reasons I settled on autumn 1956 is so I could run FL9s one day, so I'm fine having all of them be the pantograph version.

They will look perfect with the NH 8600 coaches coming from Rapido.

Yup.  But they look good with PBLWs also.  And head-end equipment.  And heavyweights.

I did not realize that the FL9s were the last of the iconic F series from EMD. The NH 2059 (now Metro North) was the last F series locomotive and is currently awaiting restoration. I have another EDER 5A and wanted to go for an as built this time, but once I learnt this, picked up the NH 2059 instead. Hopefully it will join the 2019 in operating condition someday soon.
