Yikes, I wouldn't call Nn3 so much a hobby as I'd refer to it as a good reason for therapy! 
Seriously, though, I saw some amazing Z scale stuff at the national train show at the 2015 NMRA convention and have been impressed with those 'itty bitty' scales ever since.
I'd never model in them, though.

Zn3 wouldn't be any harder to lay than N standard gauge, except that the smallest rail is so large, proportionally, that I wouldn't think it would look very good.  Make it with flat wire, or similar material, it should work fine. 

Finding something to run on it, now, could be fun.

Yes, that works. But now you have a host of new problems. Like, shaping points, designing a throw bar that small that actually works, making your own track gauge, dealing with flangeways no wider than a knife blade, etc. It is possible, but trust me, it's many times harder than standard gauge.

I am looking for a Nn30 loco cover for that new Z B-B powered chassis . Just anything that looks somewhat American , diesel , or steam/tender drive . Mining , zoo , industrial , scenic , creosote tie service , you name it .

I have found a generic shell for a N scale Z track diesel . No english traits , no europian traits , no all to familur USA RTR traits . I will chop and quarter this to fit the Z B-B chassis while maintaining N scale , I hope .

I don't know. The rounded hood roof just looks off to me. I'd expect something flatter like a Plymouth, Whitcomb, GE or any of those other small equipment mfctrs.

Looking at the link text, it appears to be an Austrailian or New Zealand prototype.
