CSX vs Tractor Trailer at Point of Rocks, MD

A south/eastbound autorack has hit a tractor trailer at the Point of Rocks station in Maryland.  Damage looks minimal as overhead footage showed the TT still in tact, just pushed/drug down the line towards the station.

I just don't understand why those train engineers don't do something to go around those poor road vehicles.  And it is not like this is the first time.

Once saw an news segment---the motard being interviewed was railing about "why didn't they move those deer crossing signs away from the highway---so people wouldn't hit the deer"

so following that logic, all we have to do is move the crossing gates away from the roadway

There’s really a much simpler correlation. Every single one of these train accidents have occurred while the train was running down the tracks. Clearly, we need to find somewhere safer for them to run.
