Just got my invoice from Digikey. The Soberton SP1208 that you guys have recommended is back in stock.

Just got my invoice from Digikey. The Soberton SP1208 that you guys have recommended is back in stock.

I had several on backorder, not due for a couple of more weeks.  I guess they came in early. 8)

Yep, had a nice surprise this morning when it came in.  Thought it would be a few more weeks.   Of course, now I have to order more!  :facepalm:

I wonder how many of these things Digikey sells to N scale modelers!

(And I'm really still VERY curious to see how Atlas does its speaker in the new sound-equipped GP38 and SD60's; fuel tank, I would guess, but Rick B has shown that it's possible to mount a speaker under the decoder if the frame is milled correctly.  And that kind of speaker/enclosure would almost certainly give better sound).
