I installed the TCS K0D8-F decoders in my Kato N Gauge FP7s (Olympian Hiawatha) and am seeing something odd. I need some ideas on what I need to do.
I have a Digitrax Zephyr system and use a DT402R throttle.
The only CV's I programmed so far is to set the locomotive address.
As I start the locomotive up and adjust the speed "one click" at a time, I notice that the locomotive lurches for a brief moment and then slows down just a bit and then maintains that speed. This is most noticeable at slower speeds; once the locomotive gets up to cruising speed, I don't notice this happening (could just be that the speed has now exceeded the effect of the lurching?)
Any suggestions on what I might need to adjust with the decoder? Maybe something with the BEMF settings (they should still have the default values being used.)? I've never played with those before, so I'll need some expert guidance!
Thanks,
Bart
