Help with LBF 60' box car...Trucks/Couplers?

Thanks for the link Alvin and for the design.
Just getting back to this thread after a little work on test fitting some options. The BLMA trucks will definitely lower the car if I modify the underframe so I don't have to put in the washer.
3 options for trucks/wheels:
#1 (left):  MTL  100-ton truck (plastic wheels)
#2 (center): MTL 1024 Barber Roller Bearing with Medium Extension
#3 (right): BLMA 100-ton truck (with washer since the wheels touch the underframe)

The car with the MTL 1024 trucks seems to ride a bit higher than the one with the MTL 100T trucks...which is odd given the 1024 is not a 100T truck....

100T trucks have a longer wheelbase in addition to larger wheelsets.

If my recollection is correct, the MTL Barber roller bearing trucks have a shorter wheelbase than an Atlas 70T roller bearing truck

Good eye to see 1.5" scale inches in wheel height (each side of the axle)! The MTL 1024 has FVM 36" wheels.

I admittedly "cheated" and simply noticed that the car in the center (with MTL 1024) sat a little higher than the car on the left (with MTL 100T) 

To me, the longer wheelbase of a 100T vs a 70T or 50T truck stands out more than the difference between a 36" vs 33" wheelset

There were 70 ton trucks with a 5'-8" wheel base.

To be clear, I was referring to the proverbial MTL trucks that are often found on models of cars that need proper 100T trucks vs something like the MDC truck that I've used as a "stand-in" for a 100T truck.
