Reservations Now Open for the Freightliner Cascadia from Trainworx

Pat Sanders has announced advance reservations for the Freightliner Cascadia.  The prototype truck went into production in 2007, and received a facelift for 2017.

Here are the details from Pat:

Available this month for reservation is the all new N scale Freightliner Cascadia tractor.  This is the most prevalent modern class 8 highway tractor today.

the trucks are too new for my 2005 cut-off. Mr. wallet says phew.  The trailers could be fudged . . .

I'm in for a few 53' dry vans as these were starting to become popular by 98'. Trucks are too new but I'll pick up a sample anyway.

The only trailer that would be out of place in 2005 would be the one with skirts.  The California requirement for trailer skirts initially applied to 53-ft trailers (dry vans and reefers) built after December 31, 2009.  However, the skirts on the Trainworx trailers are removable.

The Thermo King SB Series reefer units like the one Trainworx uses were introduced in May of 2002.  If you need back date into the 1990s, the BLMA N 106 Carrier reefer units can do the trick.

The trucks are definitely too new for 1974, and I doubt that D&RGW cabooses were seen on the BN in the Montana Rockies, so my wallet is safe this time.

These trailers are a godsend.  But Pat has so many more schemes in the queue -- I must pace myself....   Cabs are great too!
