We had an empty liquid oxygen tanker truck get stuck on a high grade crossing in Biloxi today. This is a monthly problem down here in spite of an abundance of sinage.

If there had been a accident you can bet CSX would be blamed for it.Just about every time some fool pulls in front of a CSX train between Grand Rapids, and Holland, Michigan the train crew is blamed even though there is no way it could have been avoided.  :(

Read the Facebook posts under the link @Philip H posted.  My favorite is this little gem:

If the tracks had been moved we wouldn't have these problems

Idiot.  That goes for the two other morons that liked that post, too.

Idiot? Dave, I think you are being to kind to this person. Local law enforcement is finally starting to wise up according to a friend who is a CSX engineer. They are still testing but now is the drivers of the involved vehicles especially since county cops actually witnessed one of the way to many accidents happening along this stretch of parallel road and rail.

In other countries, they’re putting in metal barriers that will stop ANY wheeled vehicle (okay, maybe not a large-wheeled Armored or construction vehicle or one of those huge dump trucks) that raise up as soon as the flashing lights come on. “Idiot proof” you’d call them but the issue there is something idiot proof calls for the better quality idiot and there’s always plenty of those.
What’s happening is that even with these barriers coming up, people will STILL try to drive on, hoping to get over them in time, and catch the back end of their car onto the raised portion. Damage and hilarity ensues. Some come the opposite direction and they go flying, like in this case:

In the mindsets of people who are dumb enough to go on, the railroads are to blame. How freaking DARE the railroads from preventing them from passing into the path of an oncoming train!

FYI, you can't look at this unless you're in the Facebook cult.
