One trick that MIGHT work, although I haven't tried it here: Enter your search with spaces. Instead of "Z", try " Z ".

It works on Google, but some search routines filter out the spaces.

It won't work if the Z is the first letter in the post, as there's no space to the left of it, or if it's the end of a sentence, because then it would be " Z."
