L&N SD40 Locos... When Were They First Put in Service?

I'm interested in getting a Kato SD40 and decaling it for the L&N. I'm modeling 1967 (or thereabouts), and I was wondering if L&N had any around then? I found SD40 photos that were taken in 1969, 1974 and 1979, but that doesn't help me much.

L&N had 5 orders of SD40's.

1225-1228 (4 units) were delivered between June and September 1966.

Edit: Here's a 1966 shot of 1225 before the lettering was applied

1229-1233 4/1969
1234-1238 4/1970
1239-1248 8/1970-09/1970
1249-1258 5/1971
