I had some good use with the Walthers modularso once MBK started clearing them out and the price was reasonable. But I model New England mill towns and they were ok for stand ins. Oddly enough the Atlas Middlesex is better for NE mill kit bashing.
In HO in use the Middlesex kits and Walthers Front Street kits for mill kitbashes.
