using atlas switch machine

Could I use an atlas switch machine to throw the points on an peco turnout?  Thanks

the challenge would be overcoming the tension of the built in spring
within the peco turnout

[and perhaps the throw distance...not sure if peco and atlas are equal in that respect]

but, the spring can be removed if the machine is not able to throw the point rails

I have never removed the spring from a peco turnout, so I cannot advise on how
easy or difficult that might be
