Gallon Capacity for Funnel Flow Tank Cars?

I have some 40' and 46' Funnel Flow tank cars (Con Cor N scale) that are undecorated. Does anyone know what the prototype gallon capacities are for these two cars? Pound capacity is good too if you know it. Thanks for any info.

Hmm... they are such
small cars, I would guess
2 or 3 ounces...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

If no one knows, a close estimate can be made by measuring the car.  Subtract a little for the shell thickness, ignore the dished ends, and just use the tube portion, and you'll be fairly close.  Then find the nearest capacity on your decal sheet.

I don't know if these are insulated or not.  If not, I'd take about 2 inches off the outside diameter.  Insulated?  Maybe 6 to 8 inches?  How thick is tank car insulation?

The 40 footers are generally in the 16,000 to 18,000 gallon range.  Not sure of the others.

That's good. Microscale makes some 16,000 gallon tank car decals. I can't use the roadnames, but the data works.

Thanks!

Hmm... I'll thank you
for some bananas...
