Alco RS1s as slugs

I was thinking about turning two RS1s into slugs for my 60s era regional.  The theory is they've proven their usefulness but aren't quite ready to be put out to pasture.  The rest of the fleet are RS3s, a handful of aged FAs, and the newest locos in the fleet are C420s and C4242s.  I think some RS1s, with their squared corner hoods, will look good between the C424s with plated up cabs, ala C&NW, or de-cabbed.

I went to research RS-origined slug units and found only one RS1, actually a mislabeled RS2 or 3.  Were the RS1s swept up in trade ins for newer power or was there another, perhaps mechanical reason, railroads didn't slug some out?

if there was a reason that early Alco RS-1/2s didn't get turned into
slugs too often it would be because of their smaller GE-731 traction motors.
unless ordered otherwise the RS-1s always used these smaller motors.
RS-2s were switched to GE-752 Motors around 1948,so they could be
  candidates for slugdom.
but think You already located most of the C&NW and Milwaukee ones.
in the 70s Alco S-1/2/3/4s were converted to Remote mining locos.
since good RS-1s were still valuble into the 70s they didn't get converted
as often, more expensive, and think the mining companies like the shorter
length of the S Switchers, plus they cost less as Cores.

Good to know but a point of clarification... there were RS1s ordered with the larger traction motors?

not really sure, but that could have been done in the RR shops.
would think  it was a possible Option on post 1948 RS-1s.
RRs that considered RS-1s Switchers likely wouldn't order
the larger GE-752s,but some RS-1s were still being built for
road service as late as 1955,Susie Q got their last RS-1s
  in that time frame.

here is a quick run down of the Traction Motors that Alco used
   from 1940 to 1969.
   GE 726 - used in the DL100-109 Road units,Alco Black Maria set,early GM&O FA/FB locos.
   GE 731 - used in S-1/2/3/4,RS-1s,early RSC-2s,RS-2s.
GE746- used in early PA units for Santa Fe and Rio Grande.
GE 752 - used in RS-RSC-2,FA-1,FB-1,PAs since 1948,and all locos since, except the above listed
units that stayed with the GE-731s.
               S-5,S-6,T-6 switchers.
there could be exceptions, and what RR Shops did later is a whole different thing.
the GE-746 was a large Electric Loco motor, see the big GN and Virginian locos of the 40s.
the only other Diesel locos known to use the GE-746 were the F-M Erie Builts that GE assembled
for F-M. also likely used in the "Little Joe" electrics that didn't make it to Russia.
