Anyone have experience with the PSX AR with a stall motor (Tortoise) hooked up for automatic turnout control?
I just finished this installation on one of our return loops and am getting mixed results. About 50% of the time, the system shorts rather than reverses.
It almost seems to be related to how much load is on the return loop when the train exits. For instance, if I'm running a 4 unit lashup, it shorts more frequently than a single unit. Same relationship for speed; faster = higher short rate.
These are supposedly rated from Z to G, so I figure 4 N Scale units even at full power shouldn't be close to overloading it. My other PSX AR's work perfectly, though they don't have a stall motor hooked up.
Am I missing or overlooking something?
