BY 1972 the skirts were gone, so it would take some work to match the Amtrak version, as well as different trucks.

It should be easy to cut off the skirting from the casting. For trucks I would use American Limited or Rapido.

I removed the skirts on a Kato Slumbercoach and used the American Limited trucks so it should work on the baggage-buffet-lounge.

I emailed Microscale last week about the Post-War decals. First they said they wouldn't rerun them unless the HO decals were also out. I checked their web site and it said inventory was very low. Today, I got another email from them. Rachel said she would check with Scott to see if it is in the works soon. Keep your fingers crossed !

       Bill and everyone reading this thread. The KATO CZ Budd Diner Set consists of diner roof vents and the radio antenna all molded in gray plastic. I did not get a cost breakdown, but my cost was $24.00 for two pairs of trucks ,a pack of diaphragms and one dinner detail set. I ordered a set to see if it had the antenna to use on the TZ head end car. Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake , Utah.
