It's been a while since I've logged in, but I've finally got some time to actually unpack my trains after 3 moves. I'm going to reduce my collection, but one thing that hasn't changed over time is the availability (or lack thereof) of the subject part from Atlas. I've got a few SD-7/9 lokies where the universal has cracked and spins on the motor shaft. I've managed to purchase some printed pieces over the years, but am not impressed with most of them. What is currently available out there on the market? I wanted to check in to see if new sources for these have cropped up.

No, Atlas hasn't stocked the part for years. I communicated them as recently as last month.

Can also replace the motor and shafts with the SD-35 parts also. Had to do that conversion a few months ago.

Are these Atlas, or Atlas/Kato SDs?

NWSL sells sets of these little "ball with the ears" and matching cups.  Is there some reason not to just put in those?

Atlas. The earlier Kato built runs had different flywheels/shafts

I appreciate the offer, but I have several so it would be better if I can get a fix. Do you drill the flywheels for pins?

I had a C430 that blew it's universals on me and I replaced everything with NWSL ball joints and steel shafting.   Even if I could get Atlas parts I wouldn't trust them to not do it again.
