Another Run of Railgons from Athearn

Isn't this the third run in two years?   Not complaining....hard to find a freight train without a Railgon or Railbox involved.  And I've bought some, may drop down to only one this round though.

Time flies...they were announced in 2005, 2009, 2011, and now 2014. (Yes 2015, but it says announced in December in the website so to be consistent)   I swore there was a more recent run than the 2011 but I'm getting old I guess.   :facepalm: :trollface:

Coupled with the one or two original MDC releases in the 1980s/1990s prior to that.

When did the whole "Rail Gon" thing end? I know many of the cars ended up in railroad hands, but I don't know when.

I think they have always been around since they were introduced.
Lots of pictures of original 1980's cars in the 2000's

I imagine they adjusted their roster based on need/the economy, similar to what railbox did.
