Bullfrog Snot for Bmann 4-6-0?

My 4-6-0's thrown a traction tire and I'm not having much luck getting it back on 

I admit that I'm trying to avoid pulling the running gear.   

With that caveat in mind, do y'all reckon bullfrog snot would work in place of the traction tire?  It seems I ought to be able to run the loco slowly to apply it all the way around.

Is the tire still in one piece? If so, just use a few tweezers and a few tooth pics to get it back in.

Yes you can use snot to fill the traction tire

I've done it before to replace a tire just take your time and apply a little at a time

But I'd think if you contacted Bmann they could set you up

Just take the bottom plate off and remove the driver set.

The driver isn't attached to the side rods.

Put on the traction tire and put the driver set back in the frame. Alignment is visually simple.

Had the loco throw the tire and dreaded putting the tire back on, it is easy.

I'm facing the same problem with my 4-6-0, so I hope it's as easy as Harold says.

Yep, pull off the bottom plate, pull driver, stick back on.  I wish I'd done that sooner now.  Ah, well, live and learn.

+1 on keeping a real tire, especially since it is relatively easy to put it back on with that engine (others have already told you how).

In my experience, while the Snot does help engines that have no tires and no grooves for them, it does not work as well as a real rubber tire.  So since this engine has provision for one, put it back on.

If this tire is a trouble-maker that keeps coming off, a drop or two of Walthers Goo, some slow-setting ACC gel (you need time to get the tire back on!), or a little black paint in the rim, is enough to keep troublesome tires from slipping around and continually coming off.
