I'm not asking for perfection, but REALLY,  how could Trainworx come up with this shade of blue for PC equipment.

Unfortunately, the blue PC gons were 41', not 50', according to the above.

I doubt it....   These are foobs of the G43a gons - built either for PRR or PC and definitely painted deepwater green.

I know there are exceptions upon exceptions, etc....    And frankly they are foobs anyway - though perfectly nice ones.

Just say'in - green is green and blue is blue.

Not so!  The IMRC flats match deepwater green!  A tad darker than the BLMA gon, but green....

How does being N scale factor into correct paint colors?

That IM flat looks good in your picture Lou, in fact best of the bunch from all the proto pictures I see.  I'd argue that for a weathered PC car, the TW gon is as close or closer than any of the green cars.

Worst I've experienced so far was my WoT ACL baggage car.  The ad (so I could pre-order months in advance) showed ACL purple.  What arrived could best be described as "blue."  Certainly does not match the colors shown in my books, or on other models.  Nice car otherwise.  The CN version is right on.

No doubt about it, in many cases that green looked blu-ish after time.

But not new - and the car is sans-COTS to it is depicting 1968-1972 - not enough time to become a "Smurf". 

A closer foob is the non-corrugated cars - which have the same # of ribs as the Freuhoff G47.  I have a small bunch stripped and waiting for paint.

The PC cars I am on the fence about at this point.
