I can't help in identifying that diner, but I like the way they staggered the tables. Four-seat table across from a 2-seat table, 2-seat table across from a 4-seat table, and so on.


Hmm... if they put all
the four-seat tables on
one side, all that extra
weight might make the
diner flop on its side...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
