Rob, I think we are talking about apples and oranges.
I always thought that Kibri was like Testors liquid cement, Tenax, Ambroid liquid cement - all solvent-based cements which dissolve the plastic surfaces, causing them to weld after the solvent evaporates. Testors liquid cement is MEK. Tenax and Ambroid are Methylene Chloride.
I wonder of the NMRA article is talking about Testors cement in a tube. That one is much thicker. I think that I still have a bottle of Kibri cement somewhere. If I find it, I will see if the label mentions the ingredients.
But in the end, my original recommendations should still apply. It is a polystyrene or ABS kit.
