Some photos from 2017 Amherst Train Show, Springfield, MA

After taking a 5 year break because "life got in the way", I decided to go to the show this past weekend to rejuvenate the interest.  And boy did it!  My last show was back in 2010.  I noticed there is more N-scale at the show though that could be my imagination of not having gone in the past 5 years.

Last night I went down to the basement and removed the sheet that was covering the layout like a dead corpse and tried to run some stuff.  Although the basement is temperate but not finished, it looks like the tracks have oxidized a little.  Jerky contact issues and can't run around the entire layout.  Looks like this guy has some track cleaning to do!

These are general pictures of the show and not meant to capture the new and bleeding edge stuff from the vendors so if you are looking for those shots you may be bored.

The interior decorating of some of those building is nuts  Is that in N scale?

Probably HO. Most of the insanely-detailed structure models in the picture gallery were HO.

You're welcome guys!    Just wanted to give a flavor of the show who couldn't make it or are too far to go.  It was inspirational to get my butt into high gear and get back to my layout that I left 5-6 years ago!

Yes, the interior detail shots are from HO layouts.  If you want to be absolutely sure, post the link to the direct photo and I can check.
