I would really like to see the .jpg files originally attached to this post.  Will someone please ask Lemosteam to provide them again from a different location?

@PRR1950 Unfortunately the master image files have been lost and I do not have time to recreate them.

If you go to the links above (first active links is a recent find) you can use the Windows snipping tool to grab a snip for a color chart and follow the same procedure.  Paste the color(s) you want to test into one MS paint file then draw a vertical and horzontal thick white lines through the color(s). Open the image you are trying to match into MS paint.  Copy and paste the transparent whit swatches into that image an move them around till they come close to disappearing in the color you are trying to match.

I found a local source of Valejo and Pro Acryl paints at a local game store.  I started looking for RGB values of their colors to try and match the color I was looking for.  I googled Pro Acryl RGB and came up with a website www.scalemates.com that has paint chips of many different brands.  These could be used for this technique by the original poster.  Scalmeates even cataloged the names of Floquil paints but unfortunately didn't have the actual RGB colors of it.  Oh well, now to look for another source of C&O Enchantment Blue.

There's an iPhone app now that does color matching of photographs to various hobby paints called Miniature Paint Pro.  Works very well, with photo files and with the camera.  So in theory, you can match paint color off paint chips and existing models if you're under the proper lighting.

Cool, yeah this process is pretty old school, but it still works.
