EM-1 and 60+ cars

I was at the WGHS in Raleigh mid-January with the North Raleigh Model Railroad Club (N-Trak).  Bachmann representative stopped by and took a short video of my Bachmann EM-1 pulling 60 hoppers (Atlas, MT, and Bachmann 2-bay hoppers) , a FVM boxcar and Aztec cleaning car.  This locomotive has about 30hours of time running at various shows and pulls rather well.  It even went up to the mountain line without a helper engine (slight slippage).

Nice video.

And yes, the EM-1 is amazing.  I just hope the new Bachmann Berkshire is as good when it is released.  Not looking to pull 60+, but 30 would be nice.

I'm also looking to see if the Bachmann Berkshires will be as good. 

I have three EM-1s.  This one is the best.  The second one has a problem with the pilot truck derailing.  When it does work, I'll double head both and they pulled over 100 cars at the Eastern N-Lines show in Danville, VA.  Of course it was over level track and that was very well laid on the modules.  I'm still breaking in the third one.  Would like to triple head some day and see how much they will pull.  I saw a picture of three B&O EM-1s pulling a train.  Think it was somewhere in Ohio.  Can't find it now. 

Would like to put sound in them one day.

I have one but have never had it runnin yet as I still have to set up the dcc, but yes amazing..

Unfortunately, I had a failer, I have an EM-1, runs every 8 weeks on op sessions since it came out, last op session a guide on the left front articulated broke. Very nice and smooth runner but this was a heartbeaker. Sent in to Bachmann, we will see what happens.
