What is with the M10000 set?

There are about 4 or 5 sets on ebay right now.

Is it my imagination, or is that kind of a lot at one time.  I know one is from an estate sale--- but is there a high quality plastic one out or coming and people are unloading their brass while they can?

Con-Cor made one. I have seen a lot of strange stock dumped lately: RMM vehicles, Athearn Edmier dump trucks (each going for over $100), GHQ back-hoe and Peterbilt dump trucks, loads of Showcase vehicles, and even a long discontinued series of Japanese fire trucks sold in Japan for a few months back in 2003. I have also seen several Burger King and KFC kits recently.

Prices have been very high for the vehicles. Some of the Showcase stuff was going for over $50. I don't really search for trains on eBay anymore because I have most of what I need. Buildings, details and vehicles are very hard to find though and the site does help with that.

Simple coincidence. Con-Cor produced that train, just few years ago. I can't fathom any other N scale manufacturer tooling up another all-new plastic M-10000 at this point.
