Will Intermountain(IM) F7 shell fit on Kato early F3 mechanism?

I guess if I was going to do this (buy one of those shells) I would also order bunch of other parts. There are plenty of useful items they sell (like wheelsets, trucks, Mikado Traction tire conversions, etc.) to make the shipping charge less painful. That way even if the shell was crap, the overall cost wouldn't be as painful.

Are these from the first F3 run.  If that's the case, I have one of those GN shells. 
The paint flaw is in the striping on the nose.  Imagine one coat on the main part of the body and two on the nose.

They are listed on Kato's website as
"F3A Phase II Bodyshell, GN #353 (1 HL, w/ Steam Gen - Imperfect paint, no glass)"
It doesn't say if these are the from the first F3 run.  It says they will fit the original and revised runs
(but not the DCC one, which is okay with me).
I did receive a pic through a PM from one kind forumer, and I can kind of see what you mean (it was a
side photo).  Something more of a 3/4 shot would be helpful, thank you.

It does look to me like with some weathering and dulling, it would not be hard to disguise.
