PArts for the new Atlas PS-1 boxcar

I was hoping to get some of those new Barber S-2A 50-ton Trucks and various brakewheels (and possibly doors) from those cars. I emailed Atlas Parts Dept. asking if they would eventually be offering those items as spare parts. I was told that they currently have no plans to do that.  :(

Maybe if they received more requests, they would change their mind...

The PS-1 parts will be available at some point, but they were not included with the premiere shipment of the finished models.  They might appear with the May shipment.  AFAIK, the plan is for a number of the parts including the S-2A trucks to be available.

Thanks for the info Bryan!  I also just received PM from Atlas Paul about this. The parts situation might not be as bad as I was originally told.

I had called Atlas about two weeks ago about parts for the PS1 also.  Steve M. told me essentially what Bryan said.  Thanks.

With the change from one primary factory from production to numerous factories, the parts ordering process has changed a bit, so some items that have been received in the past 6-12 months arrived without supporting spare parts.  We are working with the factories to make sure that this is corrected going forward, and the majority of the arriving shipments from here on out will have parts with them.

Thanks for the clarification Paul.  It is nice to know that Atlas continues to provide excellent replacement parts service for their customers (um, kitbashers).

They still don't have the National C-1 trucks from under the  Hart hoppers available as parts, sadly :(
Cheers,
Scott

If enough people request the National C-1 trucks, maybe there will be a batch imported the next time the Hart ballast cars are released.

I think there may be a supply issue with them. I know Cory wanted to make them available at some point.

Hmm, I could use National C-1 trucks for several projects ...

Cory? (PM Sent)
