Reminds
me of so many years ago (the MONO/CGA/EGA era) where any text smaller than about 10point would get 'Greeked' on screen but print OK because 24dot matrx printers of the day were a bit ahead of the display curve. Zoom was a few years away too. It was a dark time looking back now.
Harvard Graphics could do loads of stuff (woot! pie charts) that you could not see until it was printed, unless you paid ever so dearly for a Cornerstone WYSIWYG paper white card/monitor that was about a years salary. I know that I lusted for that for a long time, eagerly checking each new issue of Computer Shopper hoping for a price dip that would made it affordable. Never happened, VGA took the industry by storm and made that stuff a complete antique overnight...
