[NYNE]

For each of the last three years I have made a goal of trying to get pictures of trains in 20 states or Canadian provinces. It is an arbitrary number I just picked one day and I am not even sure why I picked it. The first year I got 16 states. The second year I decided to start a blog tracking my progess in the hope that a public declaration would spur me on to reaching the tally. It worked. So I decided to continue it again this year and I made it once again. So here is the link to my journey: http://twentystates.blogspot.com/  I hope you enjoy it. It is amazing how time changes everything. I remember complaining to a photographer friend of mine (a professional photographer that is) about the endless procession of blue Conrail U-Boats passing through Framingham, Massachusetts. He asked me what the problem was. "They aren't steam engines,'' I said.  "These are our steam engines,'' he replied. ``Shoot everything."

I am going to Austin, Texas in a couple of weeks. I may have a few hours after I first arrive to check out some trains. Anyone have any suggestions where I should go?
