What is this operation? Some sort of weird ramp not to mention but that
guy riding it looks like Gallagher! Remember the "Sledge-O-Matic".  :D

That is the roll back ramp for a coal dump. ...how a covered hopper ended up on it...! :facepalm:

These were also sometimes used at pierside grain elevators. The Reading had two installed at their Port Richmond elevator.

Zoom in on the upper-right hand corner and you can see the unloading shed and ramp. I'm guessing they would shove a cut of cars in there and use car-pullers to eject them out the other side as they were emptied.
