nice pics. Down here it's just a tad too warm for snow. High of 62 today and up to 70 by monday. Yuchh!

So, back on November 9th I railfanned the Georgia Northeastern Shortline from Canton Georgia to Marietta Georgia on. The georgia northeastern operates the ex L&N Hook and Eye line's southern half from Ellijay doe to a connection with CSX in Eliazbeth (Marietta). Very scenic line. Here are somne pics from the day.

Not the best picture I have ever taken, but I love Sandpoint Idaho.

Nice.  I did some work over there years ago with the Army Corps of Engineers.

I was in Ramsey, New Jersey a few weeks back and got a shot of a PL42-AC pushing its train toward ``New York City.''

I've been out and about the last two weeks and caught an inspection train just outside of Boiling Springs PA two weeks ago.

Later that day I caught the westbound Pennsylvanian rolling towards Duncannon:

The day before Thanksgiving I was in Wilson NC and caught northbound #89:

And today, back near Duncannon I caught the CNJ Heritage unit - -which explains the several people standing around when I arrived!

Speaking of the Pennsylvanian.  Today on the Cresson webcam the train had the standard 6 cars but has 2 locos.  Might have been a power move as I've never seen this before.
