I must have cool Atlas car with strings attached

With the risk of having to wear a propeller toped beanie and using a secret handshake I joined the Atlas Golden Spike Club . It's all for what I think is a very cool car that can only be gotten via membership . They keep pumping out cars like this and I will become a member every year .

There are certain products that date railroads and eras .

Asbestos
Bakelite
Gun Powder
Lead Paint
Kodak
Benzene

These and more I find desirable with their dated claims of making our life better .

Bakelite?
We still get quotes now & then to make parts out of Bakelite.
Other then the DoD it's pretty easy to stear people to UHMW urathane.
The 1980's replacement for 1940's technology. :?
They still make tank parts with Bakelite! :P
Some of the nastyist stuff I've ever been around while it was machined.
At least they don't used baked horse & cow s*** for the fibre anymore! :P

Those were my feelings last year, as I picked up the ARA 1932 car in BAR State of Maine colors.

This car perked my interest also. I liked the deal they did for the initial members and free shipping in parts for members. It made the membership worth it other than the special cars.
