DCC lighting & Locomotives

Im a complete noob to the world of dcc and have some questions about lighting of locomotives. My question is about the installed lighting on dcc boards, can those be made to strobe via the dcc control without adding anything to the loco. I have a Digitrax DN163K1C decoder in several locos, I have a NCE Power Cab starter set as my dcc control

I think I figured it out, you need to program cv 49 & 50 with values which are in the manual on the digitrax site.
