Completed my list of must haves!!!

I went crazy and blew out a credit card to collect those wanna have's.

To date there are four items missing:

1.   A  SP Back Up,  aka  Cab Forward.

2.   UP Challenger

3.   UP Big Boy

4.   Santa Fe, 4-8-4   THAT ISN'T BACHMANN!!!!!!!

That be about it.   Unless you want me to list the passenger cars still on the wish list.

How about that I finally got a job..."Crew!"     Ahh...what crew?

Puddington:  If you can find an SD45, which could be a big "If", they're easy to paint, and MicroScale makes the decals.  After seeing your passenger cars and NP diesel should be easy...

I thought the question was in regard to existing models, from the past or present, that have yet to be procured.  I think most if not all of us have a "wish list" of items we'd like to see materialize in N scale.

I don't have any past-produced items on my "must have" list, finished that long ago.  So I've been concentrating on reducing the "doesn't exist yet" sub-category via ESM, pushing other manufacturers, and through various modeling means.

That is a good point.  The "wish" list is a topic unto itself!!!  I still have a list of things for the right price but nothing that is "price is not a concern".

Now all I have to do is sell the three books I've written over the past 20 years, and I'll start building a gigantic layout

My lists are rather short these days because so many of the things I need for a modern western pike are now - or have recently been - available.  By far the biggest gap in my roster is 53' highway trailers, once offered by Deluxe, but now held hostage, so to speak.  53' Hunt & Schneider containers are easily the most-needed item on my list of models that haven't been made yet.  The Kato containers will have to stand-in until then.

Nothing 'exciting' but very much needed for realism (which is what makes it exciting for me).

Wish list = A list of items that is not currently, nor has never been produced in plastic, but you really wish someone would produce said items.

Must have list = An item that is currenly in stock or has been produced in plastic that you have yet to purchase but given either the funds or finding the item available you would purchase without second thought.

As for N-scale, with scale width hoods:

C30-7

Curious how far off the Kato hoods are.  Pretty sure its only a foot or so, which I doubt you can tell by just looking.

Looking at your sig, I was like N scale has great all the units you ask for except the SW10/15.

I got a short list of locos I'd like, but my must haves right now is a spray booth and time...lots of time

Need a PRR or PC SD-45.

PRR coachs - P70Kr for long distance, P70fbr and P70fr coaches for short distance and commuter service.  The last 2 also had a bunch repainted into PC. 

Had a P70Kr kit I completed and painted all ready for trucks and decaling years ago but my new puppy (now a big ox) decided it was a chew toy.  Wish I could find somemore sides to start another one.

If I'm limited to plastic. I guess then the Red caboose PRR MOW X29's and 40 ft flat's that I'm missing and some limited run Hershey cars. And the Minitrix K4 in passenger pinstrips and long distance tender. I really kick myself for passing up on one of these a few years back.

Those PRR X29 MOWs are easy to do.  Gotta find the Red Caboose model and strip and repaint.  Finding the decals may be a little difficult but they are made.
