Atlas dcc locomotives need help

I just got two new atlas gold series locomotives with dcc and sound. The sound and lights work but either one won’t move. Any ideas?

Check that the motor contact strips are contacting the pads on the bottom of the DCC board.

In addition to the above, did you buy them new or second-hand. If second-hand, it's possible they're set to a consist address.

Had that happen with my new 911 Atlas SD60E. Tried reset to factory standard but no luck. Ended up sending it back to Atlas for warranty repair. Was fairly simple after getting in touch with them and only took 2-3 weeks to get it back.
