CP/CN Modeler's name

Do you remember the name of the guy who was like Pelle Soeberg and
Joe Fugate that did these wonderful and realistic prototypical scenes
with lots of emphasis on MOW and small towns. They were part of this
layout, the mini-scenes. Scale was HO. He was like Fugate, he was
banned from MR, I don't remember if it was RMC or someplace else
that would feature his layout.

What era and when was he published?  I remember being enthralled by Stafford Swain's RMC articles on the Canadian Shield area (I think it ws RMC) in the 70's/early 80's.

I'm not sure that Fugate was banned from MR.  He was a regular poster there right up to the launch of MRH online.  I think he demured to focus his attention on his own magazine project, opting to no longer contribute to MR's knowledge base through the forum...

That makes a lot more sense and was more what I remembered as well.  But the banhammer was mentioned and it sounded like it would have been a good story!

No it's not Patrick - I was kidding about Joe...This was CP and it
was highly detailed with lots of signs, poles, one scene was MOW
equipment on a siding in a small town. I'm sure the layout had
a French name - or french names on the towns.
