Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

They are out, so hopefully they make it north of the border soon!

What a disappointment!  When I saw the topic all I could think of was Pamela Anderson.  Now there's a boxcar for ya!

Speaking of Canadian hotness, Brian, this should on ESMC's future project sheet:

Though I suppose these would be better...

http://freight.railfan.ca/cgi-bin/image.pl?i=cp380701&o=cprail

Any idea when the CP script insulated cars are due?

Can't wait to get mine. Is the mulit-mark scheme in the plans for the fifth run?

I would love to do the slab-side hopper.  But TrueLine has it on their short list if they ever decide to venture further into N scale, and since they've already done a very good HO model it wouldn't be prudent for ESM to move forward on an N scale model.

The CP script cars will be on the hobby shelves on October 1.  We'll make sure that the cars are shipped to the distributors early enough so that we hit that date.

I am planning on speaking with Darren from TrueLine this week on another issue and will prod him on the slabsides - my take is that he's way gunshy of N scale after the 50' paper box issues and the inventory he got stuck with....naybe there is a window here and heaven knows they were "everywhere" for years...

I was afraid that the chance that True Line might think about bringing them to N would be enough to kill anyone else thinking about it. Always the way in N, but we're not talking chump change to develop the tooling and bring to market, so very understandable. I hope that TLT does do the slabs in N, perfect to handle Unimin traffic as the dense nepheline syenite tons out before it cubes out and these little cars seem perfect for that service.

Looking forward to the CP cars Brian... and that X58, too!
