These any good.  Don't have any NS locos for when I run more modern equipment.  Have heard they were dogs on the first run but they are now DC plug and play and was wondering.

The first run was just as nice as any Atlas engine I own. The chassis was not DCC ready, but they sure pulled well. Some of the trucks were not correct - equiped with the Blomburg B instead of M. The new ones will use the M from the GP38-2.

Mine are first version and I agree they were equal to Atlas other than the DCC.

All of them are incorrect... even on the new ones, as GP60s don't have the so called B or Ms.

Before I order one, which decoder is the proper one.  None of the sites list this loco.

On the  older runs you could swap out the wheels for Atlas ones to get a better sized flange, or indeed go the whole hog and put in Atlas trucks. I made some new sideframes for mine using Atlas Blomberg M trucks with the centre leaf spring from the Bs glued on.

same here, I put Atlas trucks on Tims Geeps, they are not 100% but they look better anyway...
